Sarah York is a surface pattern designer specializing in hand painted designs and ethically made products.
Sarah is a textile and surface pattern designer living in the Pacific Northwest. She grew up in a cozy beach town in Northern California, but has fallen in love with the beauty of the Puget Sound region where she lives with her husband and two children.
From an early age, Sarah has been drawn to art, textiles and patterns- before she even knew the job of pattern designer existed. She has a BA in Art History and graduated from a small apprenticeship program in Berkeley, where she trained in classical hand painting techniques. Sarah draws inspiration from fashion, antique and vintage textiles and art, vintage and thrifted goods, and flowers, always. Flowers are a constant and favorite inspiration!
We are passionate about creating beautiful, responsibly made products, and working with companies that value how their products are made from beginning to end.
